[ARCHIVED] Shooting on Sharon Lane

On 04-24-13 at approximately 4:00 PM, officers from the Port Hueneme Police Department responded to a report of a “fight brewing” between several subjects in the 200 block of Sharon Lane in Port Hueneme. While officers were enroute to the call, the police department received several calls of shots being fired at the location. When officers arrived, they found a critically injured shooting victim.

The victim, a 20 year-old Port Hueneme man was taken to a local hospital, where he was put on life support. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.

The possible suspects involved in the shooting are described as follows:

Suspect #1: Hispanic Male, 18 to 20 years old, wearing a brown or tan flannel, and black shorts.

Suspect #2: Hispanic Male, wearing a black hat.

Suspect #3: Hispanic Male, no further description.

All three suspects were last seen running eastbound in the 200 block of Sharon Lane on foot.

Investigators are also seeking information on an older, grey station wagon type vehicle that was seen leaving the area of the shooting, northbound on Bolker Drive toward Hemlock Street. It is unknown if the vehicle was involved.

Investigators are asking anyone who might have witnessed the shooting, or the original disturbance to call Detective Nora Starna at 986-6642.
