On October 4, 2021, the Port Hueneme City Council determined that the City Council and all Boards and Commissions shall resume remote/virtual meetings, following the recommendation of the Ventura County Public Health Department and to comply with AB361. The City of Port Hueneme will continue to promote social distancing for the protection of the health and safety of the community and, as a requirement, will reevaluate the remote meeting circumstances every 30 days.
The City of Port Hueneme and City Council will ensure that the public has the ability to fully participate in all virtual meetings, including having an accessible zoom link and a call-in option published on the city’s website for each meeting. Public comments may still be submitted via email to the City Clerk, so long as they are received by the published deadline notated on the agenda, and testimony may also be given personally by virtually attending the meeting and speaking at appropriate public comment times throughout the meeting. The community is strongly encouraged to attend and participate and provide valuable input and feedback to the City Council, Boards and Commissions, and City Staff.
The next virtual meeting will be the regular City Council meeting of October 18, 2021, for which the agenda and published link will be available on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
