Parks

Bolker Park

Via Bolker Drive, from West Channel Islands Boulevard

Bolker Park is a 4-acre neighborhood park containing children's play equipment, picnic tables, and open grass area.

Bubbling Springs

Bard Road and Park Avenue

Bubbling Springs Playground Opens in new window

Bubbling Springs is a 21-acre community park serving both as a passive neighborhood park and home to Port Hueneme Little League.

Facilities include children's play equipment, picnic sites, barbecue pits, public restrooms, 2 to 3 hardball fields, one t-ball field, concession building, and large open grass areas.

Bubbling Springs Recreational Corridor

is a drainage control channel that includes landscaping and 7 acres of pathway system. The Bubbling Springs Recreation Corridor connects Bubbling Springs Park to Hueneme Beach Park and is a great place for a nice walk or bike ride.

Dewar Park

(East Scott Street and Market Street) is a mini park area consisting of landscaped seating area with a small plaza.

Hueneme Beach Park

East Surfside Drive and South Ventura Road

Hueneme Beach Park provides organized activities and special events, such as the Hueneme Beach Festival, seasonal Lifeguard service, and City sponsored Junior Lifeguard program. The 50-acre park contains:

  • Barbecue pits
  • Flag plaza
  • Flight 261 Memorial
  • Paid parking
  • Picnic areas
  • Public restrooms
  • Sand volleyball courts
  • Snack bar building

The cost to park at the beach (in lots or on the street) is $2 per hour, or $8 for an all-day permit. Hourly and daily parking permits are sold at the vending machines located in Lots A through E and on Surfside Drive. Annual parking permits can be purchased at City Hall in July; the cost is $50 for residents, $100 for non-residents (pro-rated after July). Additional passes for vehicles registered to the same household are 50% off. Please call City Hall for more information on parking passes, at 805-986-6500.

Moranda Park

Moranda Park is an 8-acre facility devoted to active and structured activities containing:

  • 2 full basketball courts
  • 2 softball fields (1 lighted)
  • 6 tennis courts
  • 2 Pickle Ball Courts
  • Children's play equipment
  • Multi-purpose building
  • Public restrooms

Wene'Mu Park

East Port Hueneme Road and Pelican Pointe Court

Wene'mu Park is a mini park with turf/landscaping, seating, and a small walking path.

  • 4011 No Damaging of Flora, Trees, or Turf
  • 3007 Dogs Must Be on a Continuously-Held Leash
