Administration & Community Services
The Administration Division consists of the City Manager, City Attorney, City Clerk, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, and Recreation & Community Services. Each one of these areas has their own function within Administration.
City Clerk & Public Information
The Office of the City Clerk is responsible for a myriad of functions and is comprised of three core functions: official records, elections, support to the City Manager and City Council. Also serves as the public information officer for community and media requests. Learn more information.
Human Resources/Risk Management
The City’s Human Resources division oversees all employee recruitment and selection, with the goal of attracting the most highly qualified and talented workforce possible. The office also is responsible for administering employee compensation and benefits, facilitating labor relations, offering training and providing a safe, productive work site. Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services strives to provide the highest quality, technology based applications, equipment, services and technical support to ensure the ability to efficiently manage staff, resources and information and have reliable information technology based capabilities in performing daily operations.
Recreation & Community Services Division
The Recreation & Community Services Division’s responsibilities are to plan, develop, direct, and evaluate comprehensive recreational programs, services, and city-sponsored special events for the community. The mission of the division is to: Foster human development, increase cultural unity, strengthen community image and a sense of place, support economic development, strengthen safety and security, promote health and wellness, protect environmental resources, facilitate community problem solving, provide recreational experiences This Division also provides staff support for the Orvene S. Carpenter Community Center and the Port Hueneme Historical Museum.
