Property and Evidence Room

In the event of an emergency call 9-1-1

Property is secured into the Property and Evidence Room of the Port Hueneme Police Department as Evidence, Found Property, or Safe Keeping. Property secured as Evidence in a criminal investigation cannot be released until there is a disposition in the investigation. Property secured as Found Property, or for Safe Keeping, can be returned to the owner depending on the circumstances resulting in that property being secured. Property may only be released to individuals with proper identification.

HOURS OF PUBLIC AVAILABILITY
Personal property is released by appointment only, Monday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm. Anyone interested in claiming property should schedule an appointment either by e-mail to Frank Montelongo at FMontelongo@ci.port-hueneme.ca.us, or by calling (805) 986-6627.

FOUND BICYCLES
A found bike may be claimed by the person who turned it in after 60 days, if the bike is still unclaimed. Otherwise, after 60 days, unclaimed found bikes are auctioned at a public auction.
